Ryan Murphy, creator of hit series like Glee and The Politician just gave us some good news: the artist Andy Warhol will have his own series. And of course, he will be in charge of bringing to our screens a little more of the life of the famous visual artist.
The Hollywood Reporter confirmed the above thanks to an interview with Murphy on this new project. Moreover, the documentary series will not only address Andy Warhol as an artist but will go further and portray other aspects of his life.
Hence, according to Murphy’s statement, he is preparing a “great and eye-catching ten-part series.” In his opinion people see him as “a character, so who is the real person who did all these things that changed all our lives?” he asks.
We certainly all know Andy loved the spotlight, being friends with pop culture icons or attending prestigious social events. Consequently, this series will be a good opportunity to meet the real-life Andy, from his beginnings.
Although there is no more official information, the project is a fact and we know this from the five-year contract the producer signed with Netflix in February 2018. In return, he will receive a modest amount of 300 million dollars. Not bad, huh?
In addition to the Warhol series —among other projects that are coming up— is the adaptation of the musical A Chorus Line, a drama about the fashion designer Roy Halston Frowick with Ewan McGregor; the Hollywood series, starring Holland Taylor and Patti LuPone, will also come to life, among other projects.
Lastly, we’ll have to keep an eye out on any updates or news regarding the Andy Warhol series. Stay tuned for more news right here!
