Batman’s 80th anniversary comes with new clothes by Chinatown Market and Converse

Chinatown Market and Converse launched a small collection to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Dark Knight. They include a few graphic T-shirts and a retro-styled Chuck 70 Hi tennis.

This collection is one of the last of the year and celebrates the release of the first Batman comic that turned 80 on March 30th. Eight decades of being one of the most iconic characters of the DC world.

The collection shows three different designs of graphic T-shirts that pay homage to the first Batman comics. One shows the Bat-signal from different angles on a black T-shirt; another features the 1940 logo with 3D lines on the front and Batman and Robin on the back.

Finally, there is another one with black lines featuring several of the hero’s classic villains. Among them are Two-Face and Catwoman.

The pairs of tennis shoes have two colors: black and white, to create a graphic contrast. Both designs were portrayed on the Converse Chuck 70’s classic boot silhouette and different drawings of Bruce Wayne’s alter ego.

The former, in black, portrays the Bat sign that illuminates the Gotham sky and glows in the dark. In a Gothic-cool style, they take us back to that classic signal to call Batman for help at night.

On the other hand, the white pair uses the classic graphic line of the comic with blue illustrations featuring the interior of the sneakers in pink and blue, adding a little pop art to them.

This collection is now on sale on the Chinatown Market and Converse websites. The sneakers are $100 and the T-shirts are $40 each.
