The Anne Frank video diary seeks to create a closer interaction with the public

For all fans of the universal literature classic, the Anne Frank Home Organization and Every Media company release the Anne Frank video diary. Now the diary of the young Jew who lived the Nazi occupation in the flesh in the Netherlands is released as a series on Youtube.

Luna Cruz Pérez, 13, plays Frank in a unique way. Furthermore, the story begins on March 29, 1944, amid persecution that forces her family to remain in confinement to stay away from danger.

More than a year and a half has passed since her and her parents Otto and Edith, her sister Margot, Auguste, and Hermann van Pels, her son Peter and Fritz Pfeffer, fled the Nazi troops. Throughout the series, Anna herself keeps us updated on what’s going on around her.

Thus, her clandestine status forces the girl to narrate the aberrations and injustices that occur at the time. Moreover, she captures war through her eyes and shares their vulnerability and emotions with us. Hence, the 5 books and lose sheets that the Jewish teenage girl wrote over 2 years are available as a series on YouTube.

Moreover, Ronald Leopold, CEO of the Anne Frank House Organization, believes that the link between the viewer and history grows. “Unlike the films about Anne Frank, often played by older actresses and with an external perspective, the young Luna invites us to connect directly with young Anne through her camera.”

The series portrays the stark reality of living in confinement due to war

In addition, according to Leopold, the series invites you to reflect on this girl’s life in the war. And how recalcitrant anti-Semitism must be abolished along with discrimination.

What’s more, it’s interesting how the stories come to us. As it happened with The Holocaust Girl who told her story on Instagram. Lastly, the fifteen chapters that make up the series are already available on the Youtube channel.
