FILA x Biggie is the name of the new collaboration of the sports brand that pays tribute to the Brooklyn rapper. The collection features three items in two different versions each and is a tribute to the 90s streetwear.
This collection is part of the brand’s history during the nineties hip-hop scene, as is inspired by a 1993 show where Biggie took to the stage with his FILA shirt and visor, which have been relaunched for this collaboration with the same graphics of the 90s. In addition, they added a pair of classic FILA 88 sneakers with Notorious Big allusive details to the collection.
Moreover, the three parts of the collection come in two different combinations, one beige with red and black details. As well as a white with key features in light blue and strong.
The sneakers maintain the classic design of the footwear but show the cover of Ready to Die on the inside. Furthermore, at the end of the flap there’s a number 25 with a crown in memory at the 25 years of the album.
This fashionable collab is not the only one that we will be able to find in this collection. Moreover, FILA will donate sneakers to the Christopher Wallace Memorial Foundation, which seeks to educate the youth of Brooklyn.
These pairs will be given to children in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, where Biggie was born. Thus these actions seek to rejuvenate and give the correct orientation to the young people of the ward.
The entire collection can now be purchased through the FILA online store. Prices range from $25 for the shirt or visor to $90 for the sneakers.
