If there’s one thing we love about comics like these, it’s the stories we identify with but that additionally have a dose of humorous satire reflecting our reality and making us laugh. That’s the formula the Spanish artist uses.

How many of us haven’t felt dead after a breakup, and some time later, remember it humorously? Well, that’s exactly what the Catalan artist does with her work. Therefore, she addresses topics that show us contemporary realities.

She includes topics such as the myths of romantic love and life as a couple, women’s emotions in certain situations and social media. In other words, the most common situations full of contradictions and paradoxes that women all over the world face.

Best of all, her illustrations have a touch of white and black humor. The ultimate goal is to make the reader think about these topics and raise awareness through the paradoxes she portrays. Consequently, her honesty and the harshness of her point of view have earned her vignettes the description “cynical.”

Most importantly, no matter what, Flavita does not stop drawing. Furthermore, the publisher Astiberri published the book Star Files, which is a compilation of her best work. The preface is written by Miguel Gallardo who made a perfect description of Flavita’s work.
