The Boy Who Could Not Wait is a handcrafted and interactive illustrated book made from 100% recycled paper, as well as hand-stitched. It is a “magic book” which —if watered with water— turns into a mini garden, where plants grow.
The Boy Who Couldn’t Wait is an artwork made by the communication company Ki and Green Around the Corner, both originally from Vietnam. It is worth mentioning that they used traditional silk printing technique. One of the characteristics is that it’s an interactive product, which, when watered, the reader sees a small garden growing with plants.
This book, both in concept as in story, helps children understand the importance and joy of waiting. Additionally, it teaches them about the beauty of gardens and the natural environments that surround us.
Green Around the Corner is defined as an eco-friendly concept store. Their priority, as they show on their Facebook, is circular design, sustainable education, and community partnership.
They offer alternatives to achieve a conscious life. That is why respect for culture and tradition prevail in their practices. They’re also very aware that sharing is an essential part of creating a community that is conscious of itself as well as the environment.
Finally, you can order yours by mail. Find the details on their Facebook page or Instagram account. So cute! Isn’t it?
