Isolated gives us a 4-minute tour of these artists’ workspaces

In a previous article, we talked about the artistic projects that were coming out of the confinement caused by the pandemic. Home Mural Fest and the Covid Art Museum were some examples. Now we give you Isolated, a short film by German artist Falk Lehmann, also known as AKUT.

The artist’s project offers a tour of 37 artist studios from around the world, including Mexico. It took 4 minutes and 18 seconds for Lehmann to enter the intimacy of these spaces. Moreover, for many artists, this is private turf where ideas are produced.

Furthermore, one of the purposes of this collaborative short is to create a connection between the participating artists in confinement. Thus, Isolated is born from a need to peek into what is going on inside the studios and find out how other artists are living the pandemic.

Among the creative spaces are those of Paola Delfín, Andreas Englund, Bezt, Low Bros, Mad C, Nuno Viegas, Andreas Englund, Drew Merritt, Louis Masai, Ricky Lee Gordon, among others. Each artist provided Lehmann with a four-second video focusing on their space and some of the works in progress.

“Diving into contrasting and inspiring studios that are animated spaces in constant use by the respective artists was refreshing and very comforting. It symbolizes the connection of all individuals who are part of an infinite universal living mind,” said the German artist.
