According to The Art Newspaper, the artist closed a deal with the luxury brand LVMH. The later owns the Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills, where the museum will be located.

The deal allows Thierry Guetta, also known as Mr. Brainwash, to rent this space for a period of time (undefined). The artist decided to make it a museum that exhibits his art for free.

There are still no details or exact dates set for the opening of this museum, however, Guetta announced that he is very excited about this space he refers to as “a dream.”

It is set to open this spring and before the public opening, he’s thinking of doing private events for fundraising. However, it’s a fact that the museum will be open to the public free of charge, as he believes that there are things that should remain free.

As for the building, it was designed by architect Richard Meier in 1996. In addition, it has three floors and was originally designed for the LA Museum of TV and Radio.

Thus, the building has the proper spaces and facilities for Mr. Brainwash’s museum. However, he’s still working on how to adapt and create unique experiences for visitors.

Lastly, Mr. Brainwash will do the opening with an exhibition of his pieces in the coming months. Then, he will open the space to emerging artists, as well as a forum to create and share ideas.
