Gorillaz’s new documentary, Reject False Icons will have a single screening worldwide

Reject False Icons is the new music documentary by the animated band Gorillaz, which will hit theaters on December 16. It depicts a whole three-year process during the recording of Humanz and The Now Nowdiscs.

These two albums have taken the band on a world tour, one of the most active of their career. Their impact was even greater and many of their fans very happy.

The main plot focuses on the recording and promotion process of Humanz (2017) and The Now Now (2018). It’s not just a concert recording with live songs. It goes beyond the stage, their trips and the band’s world tours.

The film’s name focuses on a phrase the band uses frequently. To be more exact, it was used to promote the 2007 rock single “Rockit.” It was also the tentative name for what was Demon Days, the band’s second album of 2005.

The production is produced by young photographer and film director Denholm Hewlett. The whole band evidently is a part of it, as well as some guests they were with on these tours. Lest we forget, the soundtrack will surely have tracks from these last two Gorillaz albums.

The documentary will be screened in select theaters worldwide for one night only. This will take place on December 16; unfortunately, no screening has been announced for Mexico yet.

Tickets go on sale on November 27 on the film’s official website. There’s still hope that we can find it in Mexican cinemas in the final pre-sale list.
