Star Wars : Galaxy's Edge is the name of Disney's newest attraction, set in Star Wars. Although there is no confirmed date, rumors have it it will open this summer in Anaheim and in Orlando in the fall.
It houses both the World Resort and Disneyland Resort. You'll be able to live your very own Star Wars story. One of the attractions of this amusement park is the complete Millennium Falcon to scale! It is more than 30 meters long, and almost 7 meters high.
The park is divided in two. In the Millennium Falcon Smuggler's Run, you'll be able to fly the Millennium Falcon yourself. The second is Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, where the public will become part of the Resistance. Can you imagine being captured by the First Order and then having to escape a Star Destroyer in one of the biggest amusement parks?
To give you an idea of what's in store, firstly, Galaxy Edge will be another world completely. It's as if you were leaving Disneyland and entering Blackspire Outpost on the remote planet Batuu. The goal is that everything there makes you feel like it's a real place.
On another note, can you imagine what that blue milk that Luke hates so much tastes like? Well, you'll find out here. Additionally, there will be writing on the walls to provide a historical context of the place. You can also be part of an interactive game created especially for visitors.
The Play Disney Parks app (now available) can be downloaded by guests, opening a world of opportunities into Black Spire. For example, Savi's Workshop. You'll be able to build your own customized lightsabers here.
Black Spire Outpost is divided into three areas. On the west side, there is a large wooded area, which is where the Resistance is hiding. At the center, you find a large market, full of food stalls and gifts. Here you will find the Ohnaka Transport Solutions, the location of the Millennium Falcon and the Smuggler's Race.
The First Order camp is located on the East side, where a previously unseen TIE fighter named Tie Echelon has landed. Best of all, at Ohnaka Transport Solutions you'll have a spectacular view of the Falcon and be able to enter the cockpit.
