THC pills provide the option to feel the effect of the substance without having to smoke

Honestly, how many of you would be willing to quit joints and start popping THC pills? According to the website Zamnesia, currently, the market for these pills is booming. But what is this alternative about?

First off, we should know that the cannabis market is vast, and among the ways of consuming it are oils, food, and even the treats that contain this substance. Therefore, it’s not surprising that pills are also an option for medical treatments against physical and mental pain.

In addition, for all those looking to avoid the classic smell, these tablets are more discreet when it comes to getting high. The most important thing is that the pills prevent the combustion that occurs when lighting a joint. Thus, toxins won’t invade your lungs.

Hence, if up to this point the idea seems like a good option, you should also know that there are formulas in the market such as Marinol and Cesamet. The first one is a synthetic form of THC that has been used, in generic form, since the 1980s. It’s very strong and contains a single cannabinoid.

Furthermore, the second is used to treat severe nausea and vomiting caused by cancer chemotherapy. Usually, pills should be prescribed by a doctor because you should know if you have high blood pressure, heart disease, a history of mental illness or drug addiction.

The Zamnesia website explains that a recent study compared the analgesic effects of THC pills to marijuana smoke. Moreover, it was discovered that the analgesic effects of smoking a joint can be felt in 15 minutes, while the THC pill takes 60-90 minutes.

In other words, when taking a pill the dose is more controlled than if you smoked a joint. However, the study also “found that while the level of pain relief obtained with THC pills and smoking marijuana were almost the same, the duration of the effect was much longer in those who had taken the THC pill.”
