New York City never lacks a reason to illuminate the façades of the Empire State Building. On April 19, it was the northern façade that came to life to celebrate the 150th anniversary of fashion magazine powerhouse Harper’s Bazaar.
During the event, 150 images of the most iconic covers of the publication were projected, which included designs by Truman Capote, Andy Warhol, and Richard Avedon.
The projected photographs were a monumental 150 meters high by 57 meters wide, reflected on the most symbolic building in Manhattan, 42 floors above ground.
The celebration was presented by Glenda Bailey, Editor-in-Chief of Harper’s Bazaar and Jennifer De Winter, Senior Vice President of North America of Tiffany & Co.
For Earth Day, on April 22, the projections will be green and orange and yellow for Project Sunshine Week on April 25.
