TOward2030, a new online art contest

The TOward2030 initiative seeks to promote the participation and integration of Italian society

After the strong health crisis that Italy went through in recent weeks, projects focused on restructuring the social and cultural fabric are emerging; proof of this is TOward2030 by Lavazza. In fact, schools like Fabrica are working on encouraging a creative revival after the Covid-19 crisis.

It’s a call for international artists to illustrate the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted by members of the United Nations in 2015. The aim of this plan is to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity by 2030.

Thus, the convened artists will illustrate and reinterpret the 17 objectives from their artistic perspectives. So far artists like Ernest Zacharevic, Zed1, Hula, Oko, Nevercrew, Truly, Louis Masai, among others, have joined the lineup for this important message.

Best of all, this edition is very varied, since the call is open to international artists. Moreover, as part of UN Resolution 70/1, the 2030 Agenda requires that as many people as possible be involved. And what better way to promote the SDGs than street art!

In addition, an additional goal is added for this 2020. Goal Zero: to spread the message around the world. A joint working dynamic that seeks to move forward without any nation being left behind and eradicate hunger, AIDS, discrimination against women and girls, etc.
