To recognize the doctors and nurses’ hard work, Tristan Eaton and Obey created these pieces

We are at a crucial moment in this pandemic. However, all the medical staff is doing their best in every country around the world. These Tristan Eaton and Obey pieces are dedicated to all of them.

Now and Forever

Tristan Eaton collaborated with Montefiore Health System and High NY on a piece that pays homage to the health workers fighting the pandemic. The large-scale mural is located in Manhattan, on 34th Street and 8th Avenue.

The piece features a woman (made up of an African-American woman and a white woman) wearing a face mask, a medical uniform, and a stethoscope around her neck. On her head, she wears the medical cap that covers her hair, made of a collage of pop images mixed with the artist’s style.

Moreover, the mural is part of a campaign to thank all those un-caped heroes. The piece can now be seen on billboards, walls as well as in the New York Times. As a show of gratitude, Eaton also mentions ATRBUTE and the working painters of Occasional Walldog Sign Co. who contributed to the creation of the mural.

Angel of Hope and Strength

Shepard Fairey presents his most recent work entitled Angel of Hope and Strenght. A very emotional piece that reflects the spirit of hope and resistance of sick people and doctors who wage a daily battle against Covid-19.

The piece draws the figure of a woman holding a torch in her hand. On her back, she has a pair of angelic wings, while on the upper left side of her shirt, you can see a red cross alluding to all health professionals. At the top, we see a logo with the words “Strength in service, strength to overcome”.
