Vhils is one of the most outstanding urban artists in recent years thanks to his style, his career, and the whole process behind his work. By the way, we brought him to Mexico last year to create an incredible mural in Parque La Ruina in the city of Hermosillo, in the State of Sonora.

His work is characterized by taking advantage of much of the rubble and turning it into human portraits. Additionally, he modifies the structure of the walls to shape his work by removing some of them. He explains that he uncovers the stories from the bowels of the walls.

This, he records faces that identify with the place where he is doing the piece, relating to the urban context. Hence, he creates a graphic identity that stand out from murals made with spray paint.

To learn more about his work, his style and his life, Underdogs Gallery has released a monographic book of the artist, produced by Miguel Moore, who is the author and editor of Vhils Studio and Underdogs.

The book will consist of two editions, a regular one, and a limited one that includes a case and a screenprint. Its official launch will be on April 29 through the Underdogs Gallery online store.
