Carsten Höller is a Belgian-German artist born in Brussels. He worked as an agricultural engineer before dedicating himself completely to art. His pieces stimulate the spectators’ senses as well as their psyche. The recurrent themes in his work are perception, self-exploration and human relationships. Carsten promotes collective experiences and memory stimulation through objects. Likewise with feelings.

Höller has exhibited his artworks in some of the most important museums in the world. For example, MASS MoCA, the Tate Modern and the Guggenheim in New York. Most pieces are large-scale installations. That is to say, the public can interact with them and, in a way, be part of them. You enter a dreamlike, tangible universe when walking into his exhibitions.

The National Museum of Art (MUNAL) announced it will be hosting an amazing Siqueiros and Orozco exhibition. Museo Jumex will be opening a Koons & Duchamp show. In addition, Ai Weiwei will be at the UNAM’S Museum of Contemporary Art (MUAC). As a result, 2019 is shaping up to be a good year for cultural events in the city.
