The Ghibli Museum has temporarily closed its physical space but opened its virtual one for the world to explore. This is the museum’s initiative which, through short videos, you’ll discover the facilities on Youtube.

Nearly 20 years after its opening, the museum has made one of the most difficult decisions to date. Hence, it decided to close for some time due to the global coronavirus outbreak and take precautionary measures to prevent its spread.

However, because it’s one of the most important museums by an animation studio, an alternative was found. Thus they decided to present the museum on their Youtube channel for everyone to “visit.”

Moreover, this tour is divided into several videos where you’ll be able to see the lobby all the way to a creative room. Additionally, you’ll go through the entire experience offered by the museum which will encourage people to visit it once the pandemic is over.

But patience people, as the videos will be published little by little. Hence the other rooms will remain a mystery, just like when you visit the museum for the first time.

The halls of this museum are usually full of allusions to Studios Ghibli films, including characters such as Totoro, Chihiro, Mononoke, and Ponyo. Therefore, the immersion in the animated world is very pleasant for all fans. Thus, we will all get to discover a little bit of the museum without having to travel to Japan.
