Street photography legend Martha Cooper and 1UP Crew pay homage to graffiti culture
The work of the talented photographer Martha Cooper and 1UP Crew arrived in Melbourne thanks to Revolver Upstairs. A great spot to drink beer and listen to good rock.
The venue host the photographer and graffiti crew for their Seasons of Change 34: Summer exhibition. Revolver Upstair summoned them to organize an exhibition that will exhibit pieces by the artists.
But that’s not all, there will be movie screenings and music nights planned with some guest DJs. Consequently, these are party nights accompanied by a lot of urban art and Cooper’s sharp eye.
Best of all, each and every one of the pieces in the exhibition was created specifically for Seasons of Change 34: Summer. Therefore, it will be a good opportunity to see more of these graffiti artists from Berlin.
As if that were not enough, 1UP will also intervene the walls of the Revolver Upstairs. In total there will be 3 interventions on the facade of the place. Among the screenings is Selina Miles’ documentary Martha: A Picture Story which, of course, speaks of Martha Cooper’s work. Additionally, there will be an unprecedented cut of 1UP Crew’s adventures in New York.
Finally, one of the special guests is a graffiti veteran of Melbourne: NOST. Lastly, it will be a weekend full of music and graffiti.
